Abstract:
Herein, we report a photoinduced catalyst-free amine-mediated hydrodifluoroalkylation of 3-methyleneisoindolin-1-ones. Preliminary studies indicate key role of halogen bonding, reductant upconversion and proton shuttling in the reaction mechanism.
