Artificial intelligence for early detection of aortic stenosis: The emerging role of NPs

Aortic stenosis is associated with significant morbidity and mortality if left untreated. Nurse practitioners in primary care are uniquely positioned to identify early signs of this condition and are often the frontline provider for patients. Unfortunately, barriers to screening, diagnosis, referral, and treatment remain significant. Artificial intelligence technologies are emerging to address these barriers. This article highlights the potential impact of artificial intelligence in transforming aortic stenosis management and explores its integration into nurse practitioner practices to improve outcomes.
