Abstract:
Annona Linn., owing to its species diversity and economic value, is one of the representative genera in the family Annonaceae. Annona Linn. polysaccharides (APs) possess complex structural characteristics and significant biological activities, and have become a research hotspot in recent years. Although hot water extraction remains the mainstream method for extracting APs, the application of novel techniques such as enzymatic extraction and microwave-assisted extraction has improved the extraction efficiency of APs. Studies have shown that APs exhibit neuroprotective, radioprotective, anti-inflammatory, and antitumor effects. However, studies on the structure-activity relationships of APs remain limited, and future research should integrate advanced structural characterization methods, and multi-omics analytical strategies to further elucidate the intrinsic relationship between their fine structural features and biological activities. This review summarizes the extraction and purification, structural characteristics, and biological activities of APs, aiming to provide a theoretical reference for the development of APs in the food industry.
