Abstract:
A pyrolysis method was employed to deposit Co doped RuO2 nanoparticles on nitrogen-doped hollow carbon spheres (NHCS). Attributed to the excellent bifunctional electrocatalytic properties of Co-RuO2@NHCS, the zinc-air battery yielded an open circuit voltage of 1.51 V and the power density reached 180 mW/m2. After 800 galvanostatic charge-discharge cycles, the charge-discharge voltage gap of the battery only decayed by 5.7%, demonstrating superior cycling stability.
