Local Anesthetics: Clinical Application as Epidural Anesthesia

Summary

Intraperitoneal bupivacaine did not improve postoperative pain control or reduce opiate use in pelvic organ prolapse surgery patients. This study suggests limited clinical utility for routine use of intraperitoneal bupivacaine in this population.
