Abstract:
Entropy pumping (2nd Law counterpart of energy pumping) is fundamental to the existence of dissipative structure, DS. In this study, DS is conceptually shown to have an energy pump for non-spontaneous mass-energy in-flows, followed by an entropy pump for mass-energy out-flows. Classification of DS existence based on the two types of entropy pumping mechanisms is theoretically shown to be as follows.
