Accessing Versatile 4-Aminoprop-3-enylidene Indolones via a 1,6-Nucleophilic Addition/6π-Electrocyclic-Ring-Opening

We report an efficient 1,6-nucleophilic addition/6π-electrocyclic ring opening of secondary amines to pyrano[2,3-b]indoles under mild conditions, delivering a series of 4-aminoprop-3-enylidene indolone derivatives in yields of up to 96%. This method exhibits broad substrate scope and synthetic utility, offering a novel strategy for constructing-related frameworks and understanding regioselectivity.
