Abstract:
Talus injuries present a diversified and distinct set of care issues, having a significant impact on the patient's short- and long-term functional outcomes. Talus fractures are extremely uncommon, accounting for only around 1% of all foot and ankle fractures. The degree of initial fracture displacement and the accuracy of fracture reduction are both factors that influence the result. This case report describes a case of a 30 year-old male patient with neglected close fracture talus on the left foot. The patient presented to the outpatient department with chief complaint of progressive pain over the left foot while walking for the past 4 months. The diagnosis was made based on radiograph, and managed with reconstruction and arthrodesis of the ankle with non-vascularized fibular graft. On 1-year follow up, the radiograph showed complete union and no neurovascular complication was reported. Ankle Arthrodesis with Non-vascularized fibular graft a can be viable options for managing neglected comminuted talar body fracture.
