A donor-acceptor azulene-based CMP was designed to enhance electron transport by modulating molecular dipole moments and further integration with CNTs (TPA-CMP@CNT-50) which delivered 242 mAh g-1 at 0.1 A g-1 and outstanding cycling stability over 5000 cycles at 2 A g-1.
