Abstract:
Visible-light mediated three-component dichloromethylative pyridylation of styrenes has been developed. This method employs α-aminoalkyl radicals derived from tertiary amines for chlorine atom abstraction from chloroform. A series of dichloromethylated alkylpyridines, including deuterated derivatives, have been synthesized under mild reaction conditions.
