Abstract:
This review examines the development of organoid technology and its recent advances in the study of pituitary neuroendocrine tumors. As three-dimensional in vitro culture models, organoids can recapitulate the structural and functional characteristics of native organs, providing an innovative platform for investigating disease mechanisms, conducting drug screening, and developing personalized treatment strategies for pituitary neuroendocrine tumors. The article begins with an overview of the historical progression of organoid technology and then focuses on its specific applications in pituitary neuroendocrine tumor research, including disease modeling, drug testing, and potential uses in regenerative medicine. Finally, it addresses current challenges in the field and outlines future research directions and potential clinical applications.
