Hamular Notch Syndrome (HNS), a Rare Cause of Orofacial Pain

Introduction:
Hamular Notch Syndrome (HNS) is an extremely rare condition resulting from elongation or calcification of the hamular region of the maxilla, leading to pain and discomfort that may be mistaken for other dental or ENT conditions, particularly in older adults.
Case Presentation:
This case report describes the clinical presentation, diagnostic workup, and management of a 64-year-old male patient diagnosed with HNS.
Conclusion:
Early recognition and appropriate treatment of Hamular Notch Syndrome can lead to significant improvements in the patient's symptoms and quality of life. Importantly, HNS remains primarily a clinical diagnosis, supported but not solely defined by radiological findings.
