Frailty cannot be understood solely as a physical impairment. It is often closely linked to social inequity, cognitive impairment, and psychological vulnerability. These factors both contribute to frailty and are exacerbated by it, and together they influence overall mortality. This review calls for a holistic perspective when caring for individuals with frailty. Systematic approaches, such as proactive home visits and structured assessments using tools like the Clinical Frailty Scale and the Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, may improve the identification and understanding of frailty.
