Recurrent instability after arthroscopic Bankart repair remains a significant challenge, highlighting the importance of addressing underlying biomechanical factors beyond soft-tissue pathology alone. Dynamic anterior stabilization has emerged as an alternative stabilization strategy, using the long head of the biceps tendon to create a dynamic anterior sling effect. Recent literature provides important biomechanical evidence supporting the ability of dynamic anterior stabilization to restore glenohumeral stability more effectively than isolated Bankart. These findings suggest that dynamic anterior stabilization may occupy a valuable position between traditional soft-tissue repair and bony augmentation procedures, expanding the surgical options available for managing anterior shoulder instability.
