Ergonomics and Surgeon Well-Being in Minimally Invasive Surgery

This comprehensive review summarizes current ergonomics recommendations and provides an overview of current potential ergonomic problems and proposed interventions, with special attention to minimally invasive surgeons. While the field of surgical ergonomics has gained momentum in the past couple years, there is still much research and development to be done. Surgeons and surgery personnel need to make continued intentional efforts to promote optimal surgical ergonomics to support surgeon productivity, longevity, and well-being.
