Abstract:
This commentary highlights the identification of an OsFTL1 allele, TGW1aJZ, which balances high grain yield with early maturity in rice, delineates the underlying regulatory mechanism through which TGW1aJZ modulates flowering time and nitrogen utilization, and discusses its broader implications for future breeding strategies aimed at resource-efficient agriculture.
