Abstract:
The composition of seminal plasma from men with varying ejaculate parameters was analyzed using Raman spectroscopy. Distinct differences were identified in the Raman spectra of fertile men and infertile patients, particularly in amino acids, phospholipids, and saccharides. A comparative analysis of seminal plasma biomolecules was performed within the group of fertile men who were potential seminal plasma donors. It was found that the seminal plasma from certain fertile donors exhibits a similar spectral profile and has a positive effect on the morphofunctional characteristics of spermatozoa. These findings support the use of Raman spectral signatures for the selection of seminal plasma donors and the refinement of donor selection criteria.

Raman Spectroscopy Instrumentation: Overview
The monochromatic laser source, typically using visible or near-infrared radiation, generates a highly focused beam of light. This light interacts with the molecules of the sample, scattering some of the light. Liquid and gaseous samples are usually tested in ordinary glass capillaries, while solids can be analyzed as powders packed in capillaries or as potassium...

However, a small fraction of the scattered light exhibits a frequency shift due to the exchange of energy between the incident photons and the...
