Abstract:
A Western blot is an experimental method used to analyze protein expression. In Ewing sarcoma, as in many other diseases, Western blot provides information about the level of protein expression in different cell conditions, in comparison with other tissues or upon induced molecular changes. Based on the specific pattern of protein expression of the tissue, as well as on the characteristics of the protein of interest, the antibodies and protocol of Western blot may be modified according to different specifications. Here, we describe some of these peculiarities in the framework of the Ewing sarcoma field.
