Abstract
Background:
Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) is a rare thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) characterized by hemolysis, thrombocytopenia, and renal impairment, most commonly driven by complement system dysregulation. Differentiating aHUS from other conditions, such as HELLP syndrome and thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), is critical, particularly in pregnancy.
