Abstract:
Spider-silk-inspired fluorinated polyurethane ionogels containing 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium BIS(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide (EMIMTFSI) in a hydrogen-bonded, disulfide-containing network have been developed. The resulting elastomers demonstrate mechanical robustness, stretchability, self-healing, recyclability, hot-melt adhesion, and ionic conductivity, enabling stable resistive strain sensing for human-motion monitoring and Morse-code information encoding.
