Abstract:
Flash Joule heating (FJH) is used to tune the structure of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for enhanced H2O2 electrosynthesis. FJH induces wall exfoliation and structural reconstruction while largely preserving surface oxygen species at moderate treatment temperatures. The optimized MWCNTs-1200 achieves 10.57 mol gcat-1 h-1 at 200 mA cm-2 with 85% faradaic efficiency.
