Abstract:
Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis commonly presents with asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis with or without nasal polyps as early hallmark manifestations. Owing to its rarity, EGPA remains underrecognized in clinical practice, leading to substantial diagnostic challenges and delayed diagnosis. This review systematically summarizes the epidemiology, immunopathological mechanisms, and recent advances in the diagnosis and management of EGPA, with a particular focus on sinonasal involvement. This review highlights the pivotal role of rhinologists in identifying early warning signs and implementing appropriate diagnostic pathways. By adopting a rhinology-oriented perspective, this review aims to facilitate earlier recognition of EGPA, reduce diagnostic delay, and ultimately improve patient prognosis and long-term outcomes.
