    Summary

    Moderate exercise temporarily elevates serum enzyme levels (GOT, GPT, LDH, Aldolase) in healthy individuals. Enzyme activity returns to normal within 24 hours, but individual variations limit its use as a physiological strain index.

    Background:

    • Physical activity impacts physiological markers.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the effect of moderate physical exertion on serum enzyme levels.
    • To assess the recovery time of these enzymes post-exercise.
    • To evaluate the utility of serum enzymes as a physiological strain index.

    Main Methods:

    • 13 healthy volunteers underwent a 30-minute moderate exercise protocol (3.9 Kcal/min).
    • Serum enzyme levels (GOT, GPT, LDH, Aldolase) were measured pre- and post-exercise.
    • Pulse rate was monitored during exercise and a 10-minute recovery period.

    • Significant increases (p<0.01) in serum enzyme activities were observed post-exercise.

    • Individual variability in enzyme response complicates its use as a reliable physiological strain indicator.
