Bilateral congenital oval window microfistulae in a mother and son

This article details case histories of a son and his mother who were studied over a seven-year period before making the diagnosis of bilateral oval window microfistulae in both of them. The boy demonstrated a slowly progressive bilateral and symmetrical sensorineural hearing loss closely resembling that of his mother.
