|February 1, 1983
Abstract:
In this double-blind clinical trial, thirty-two patients were randomly assigned to two groups of sixteen and administered 0.5 percent bupivacaine 1/200,000 epinephrine or 2 percent lidocaine 1/100,000 epinephrine for endodontic therapy. The onset and profundity of anesthesia were similar for the two groups. However, the bupivacaine group had prolonged anesthesia following treatment and a significant decrease in postoperative pain.
