Abstract:
Kidney rewarming during implantation may be an important cause of additional warm ischemic damage. The length of warm ischemic time is also progressively detrimental to the results of clinical kidney transplantation. A simple tool to handle the kidney during transplantation is presented. Thereby kidney rewarming and additional ischemic damage during the vascular anastomoses are excluded.
