[So-called endometrial carcinoma of the male prostatic utricle]

From a review of the literature the author concludes that the histogenesis of the so-called endometrial carcinoma of the male prostatic utricle first described by Melicow and Pachter in 1967 is not completely clear yet. It may be assumed that tumors of a similar histological structure may be of different histogenesis, utricular and ductal, and that there are fine structural, histochemical, and histoenzymological differences between them which have not yet been studied sufficiently. It is suggested that the use of the immunoperoxidase method may be promising in such studies.
