[Fibrinolytic properties of the morphological structures of the kidneys]

A histochemical method of fibrinolysis microautography was used to study the fibrinolytic activity of the kidneys. The authors examined kidneys from 22 normal dogs and 10 human cadavers. In kidneys of normal dogs and humans dead of various causes, the fibrinolytic activity was observed in the glomeruli, veins and arteries, capillaries of the medullary stroma and of the urinary tract walls, transitional epithelium of the pelvis, ureter, and urinary bladder.
