[Study of the surface self-fluorescence of rat kidneys using the perfusion method]

A method for the measurement of tissue surface fluorescence is described. It allows determination of the biochemical state and properties of superficial cells under influence of test-substances. As example for the suitability of this technique we present the results of self-fluorescence measurements on rat kidneys in vitro after ischaemia and under different conditions of superficial oxygenation.
