Clinical interest of coronal and sagittal CT sections
Abstract:
Normal and pathological anatomy of the brain can be studied in different cross-sectional planes. Of specific interest here are sagittal and coronal views obtained by computer reconstruction procedures. The three different planes for the reconstruction of the images are complementary, of real clinical interest, and are particularly useful for an accurate localization of lesions, either for surgical intervention or for radiotherapy planning purposes.
