[Occurrence of aflatoxin-forming molds in foods]

Studies on the mould infection of nearly 900 food samples, performed by means of the screening test according to de Vogel et al. [2], showed that the occurrence of aflatoxin-forming moulds must be considered mainly with peanuts and other seeds, but also with any other food. From this point of view, all measures against mould growth in foods are of special importance.
