Determining Binding Affinity KD of Radiolabeled Antibodies to Immobilized Antigens

[Valency of antigenic erythrocyte diagnosticums and serum antibody affinity]
Abstract:
The Fab-fragments of antibodies were separated from the intact antibodies by their activity in serological reactions of eluate portins from Sephadex G-100. The valency of antigenic erythrocytic diagnostic agents was evaluated by their maximum ability bind Fab-fragments. The affinity of monovalent Fab-fragments was evaluated with antigenic erythrocytic diagnostic agents. A graphic and an analytical variants of determination of the average association constant by the suspension method have been developed.

Antibody Structure
Antibodies, also known as immunoglobulins (Ig), are essential players of the adaptive immune system. These antigen-binding proteins are produced by B cells and make up 20 percent of the total blood plasma by weight. In mammals, antibodies fall into five different classes, which each elicits a different biological response upon antigen binding.
