Summary

A new test detecting immunoglobulins bound to low-density lipoproteins (Ig-Lp) shows promise for identifying autoimmune hyperlipidemias (AIH). The Ig-Lp test was negative in healthy individuals and positive in a significant portion of hyperlipidemia patients.
