Subcutaneous island interpolation flap: "serpentine layering" to increase the intra-defect pedicle thickness

While developing a subcutaneous island interpolation flap, "serpentine layering" of an extended subcutaneous pedicle was noted to give more adequate filling of a deep nasal defect, thus enhancing the final cosmetic result.
