[Present-day status of tularemia prevention in the USSR and further tasks]

Despite the presence of natural foci of infection at the territory of all the Union republics (excluding the Kirghiz SSR) and intensive epizootics among rodents, tularemia in the USSR is under full control from 1965. Further differentiation of antitularemia measures, depending on local conditions of economy management and the presence of natural foci of infection is necessary.
