Abstract:
Neoplasms of the liver, biliary structure, and pancreas often provide a challenge for diagnosis and management. The techniques employed currently for sampling cells or tissues preoperatively and intraoperatively can provide information to assist the surgeon in planning therapy. This article discusses the use and effectiveness of biopsy techniques.
