Abstract:
Research is still continuing to produce the ideal radiographic emulsion and the film plate will be in use for some time yet. Digital imaging will develop, but there are problems to overcome. Computerised tomography (CT) continues to improve despite early predictions to the contrary, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) will make an impact, especially with MRI angiography and fast-gated scanning techniques.
