Abstract:
A case is presented of an intubated, sedated patient, without previous eye problems, who developed acute angle closure glaucoma (AACG) after receiving nebulized terbutaline and ipratropium bromide for an acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive airway disease. When a patient under this treatment develops a fixed dilated pupil, as in this case, it is recommended to consider AACG among the possible causes.
