Abstract:
Mild infantile epilepsy with spike-wave discharges in central and temporal regions was distinguished in the fiftieth and the sixtieth. Its clinical course and electroencephalographic features are very characteristic. Data from the studies carried out since 1978 have showed that this type of epilepsy is rarely properly diagnosed. Therefore, clinical and electroencephalographic analysis of the mild infantile epilepsy with spike-wave discharges in central and temporal regions is discussed, basing on own experience and survey of literature. A problem of therapy is also discussed.
