[Vibriolysis in cholera and NAG-vibrios]

Abstract:
The causative agent of classic cholera, vibrios of the El-Tor biotype and NAG-vibrios produced on agar plates a substance which lysed killed indicator strains of the vibrios and the Gram negative bacilli, but was indifferent against the Gram positive bacilli. The action of the vibriolysins varied extending from the causative agent of classic cholera in the direction of saprophytes.
