The living will: implications for nurses

In certain states in the USA there has been, for some time, the right in law for patients who are terminally ill to declare their 'living will'. This article examines the concept of the living will and the situation surrounding euthanasia in Britain and Europe. Its aim is to give nurses further insight into and greater understanding of the possible future use of a living will.
