Children with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease (LCPD) show elevated thyroid hormones, specifically free thyroxine (FT4) and free triiodothyronine (FT3). These hormonal changes are present at diagnosis and suggest underlying systemic abnormalities in LCPD patients.
