[Malignant granular cell tumor]
Abstract:
A case of malignant granular cell tumor is reported. A 44-year-old male patient presented a tumor starting from the left side of the neck which finally extended shoulder and left thoracic region. Despite repeated gammatron radiations and cytostatic therapy death occurred three years after the discovery of the primary tumor due to spreading of metastases into the cervical spinal cord, para-aortic lymph nodes, lungs, kidney and liver. The differential diagnosis of the morphological substrate is discussed and the preference of the termination introduced by Stout and Lattes is established.
