Use of a crisis committee in a therapeutic community

Abstract:
Described is the use of a patient crisis committee in an adult therapeutic community. The crisis committee is a function of the patient government and is called into action in situations formerly handled by physicians or nurses. This method appears to be highly successful in the therapeutic community described.
