Abstract:
Middle ear surgery may affect the cochlea. On 80 patients, the mean HF thresholds before and after middle ear surgery including stapediotomy, combined approach tympanoplasty and myringoplasty are compared. A small deterioration of the mean HF thresholds up to 10 dB is observed.
