Summary

Quantifying myeloma cell precursors in peripheral blood may indicate chemotherapy effectiveness. Serum beta 2-microglobulin levels require careful monitoring during treatment. Younger age and lower tumor burden are linked to long-term survival in Japanese myeloma patients.
