[Bacterial flora in the conjunctival sac of patients before cataract surgery]

Abstract:
Retrospective analysis of 2365 cultures from conjunctival sac of patients was done. The most frequent bacteria included Staphylococcus epidermidis (48.7%), Staphylococcus aureus (11%) and Streptococcus (1%). The sensibility of the bacterial cultures for the most frequently applied chemotherapeutics was evaluated. Our results were compared with those in the literature.
