[Effect of UV-irradiation on human serum under normal and pathologic conditions]

The influence of the wide UV-spectrum on the level of dien conjugations in the blood serum of donors and patients with various pathological processes was studied. The level of dien conjugations increased statistically significantly in the lipid sera of donors after UV-irradiation; but it proved to decrease in the patients with inflammatory diseases. As to the patients with benign and malignant tumours, UV-irradiation showed practically no influence on the dien conjugation level in the blood serum lipids. This method can be used to elaborate the differential-diagnostic criteria of diseases of tumour and inflammatory nature.
