A simple modification to the radiochemical assay of cortisol which avoids the extraction from serum
Abstract:
A modification to the radiochemical assay method to measure cortisol in serum, that renders unnecessary the extraction of cortisol from a serum sample is described. The serum is heated at 60 degrees C for 3 hours, thereby transcortine is destroyed, then competition binding assay follows as usual.
