Summary

Biochemical markers like urinary deoxypyridinoline (Dpyr) effectively assess bone resorption in multiple myeloma (MM). Ratios of bone formation to resorption markers, specifically (Dpyr/Cr)/BSALP or (Dpyr/Cr)/PICP, are highly sensitive for distinguishing untreated MM patients.
